Dave Phinney is best-known as the mind behind The Prisoner and Orin Swift. He has a knack for creating wines that get people excited—with memorable labels, unusual names, attractive prices and, most importantly, high quality in the bottle. His ideas are provocative, innovative and a bit disruptive.

That means mixing art and wine in new ways and expanding beyond wine—into spirits, spritzers, tea and even real estate development projects that include associations with people that inspire him. In some ventures, wine is just a backdrop for his creativity. Learn more about what he's done and what he's up to next!
