During Vinitaly in April, senior editor Bruce Sanderson invited eight Barolo producers to revisit the 2012 vintage in a non-blind tasting. He found the wines—including cru bottlings from Renato Ratti, Cavallotto, Pio Cesare, Massolino and others—to be elegant expressions of Nebbiolo, good for drinking now or for continued cellaring.
